PCGS 1893-O Liberty Head Eagle Broadstruck AU58
PCGS 1893-O Liberty eagle ten dollar broadstruck. The coin was struck almost entirely out of collar, and expanded well beyond it's normal size. The coin's reeding is missing from about 95% of the coin's edge.
Broadstruck Liberties are very rare, with only 4 known to us. This is a New Orleans Mint issue as well, and is unique in that regard, being the only broadstruck New Orleans known. Also, all the other examples we know of are from the 1900's, whereas this coin is from the 1800s.
