    Description

ER107 Dramatic 1943 Steel Lincoln Cent--Late Stage Brockage Obverse struck through Capped Die-- Mint Error ANACS MS63.  While die caps are a familiar part of the error-collecting landscape, less familiar are the coins struck through them--effectively, late-stage brockage pieces. This steel cent, shows the broadened and exaggerated mirror-image of the reverse lettering, with the wheat ears completely off the flan.  From distance you can see Lincoln very clearly but when you look at closely you can see one cent clearly.
